VICKIE OPPOSES Restricting Medicaid Access

The legislature has ordered the Department of Health and Welfare to remove 185,000 eligible persons from Medicaid services. This is bound to have large and long lasting effects on Idaho citizens and the State economy.

Without this much needed service, many elderly, chronically ill people and families with children will be forced to choose between paying for housing, food or health care.

These choices will induce a further burden on health care providers and hospitals through increases in charity care.
